Risk Management Seminars In late 2003, at the request of several clients, Mr. Sorensen formulated a risk management seminar that involves several cases that were actually litigated or arbitrated through the firm. The seminar has been approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission for 3 hours of Continuing Education credit, and examines many issues designed to protect commissions and/or avoid defense claims, such as file maintenance, specialized addenda for buyers and contract pitfalls. The course includes a PowerPoint presentation of documents used in actual litigation proceedings.
Many brokerages have sponsored the seminar at a local realtor association as a marketing vehicle and invited associates with other companies to attend. Please contact the firm to obtain a copy of the course outline or to discuss how you may use the course to your maximum benefit.
In addition to the foregoing, the firm is pleased to provide a risk management seminar of approximately one hour in length for purposes of associate sales meetings. Although this seminar is not approved by FREC for continuing education, Mr. Sorensen is available after the conclusion of the seminar for a question and answer period concerning any legal topics that may be relevant to the brokerage.
